About This Role On behalf of our client, a High-Profile Tier 1 Mining Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Principal Advisor - Cost to support the Closure Execution of a Project. You will be responsible for leading cost forecasting, reporting and cost control activities while providing leadership to a team of Cost Controllers. This will be a 12 month contract, based in the Brisbane, CBD.

- Manage a team of Cost Controllers and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead forecasting and progress reporting of project costs, commitments and expenditure
- Liaise with stakeholders to support package forecasting activities
- Facilitate Project Change Management processes
- Review cost data and provide trend analysis and recommendations
- Support proposal, bid and claim evaluations with the Contracts team
- Prepare estimates to assess scenario options
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Work with Construction Contractors to support cost and schedule forecasting
- Possible requirement to travel to the project site from time to time

Requirements

- Extensive experience in Cost Control for major construction packages
- Understanding of project management and project controls concepts
- Strong commitment to safety
- Experience using cost management tools




- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Solid communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Exposure to major projects and Tier 1 EPC or EPCM contractors is desirable
