360HR Solutions is partnering with GM3 Illawarra Metallurgical Coal to recruit two newly created Principal-level positions within its Supply function:

- Principal Operational Projects & Infrastructure
- Principal Critical Goods & Services

Both are key leadership roles within GM3’s Supply Team , with responsibility for shaping commercial strategy, leading key supplier and contract activity, and supporting GM3’s mining operations across the Illawarra, Southern Highlands, Wollondilly and Macarthur regions. These are hands-on Principal roles requiring strong commercial judgement, stakeholder influence and the ability to operate autonomously. Site presence is important, with regular engagement across operational locations and a maximum of two versatile workdays per week.

Principal - Operational Projects & Infrastructure

This role will lead sourcing and commercial activity across operational projects, sustaining capital and infrastructure-related spend.

The portfolio includes civil and minor construction works, mechanical and electrical services, engineering support, scaffolding, plant and equipment hire, facilities and site infrastructure.

We are interested in candidates with backgrounds across mining, construction, tunnelling, infrastructure or heavy industry , ideally with strong experience in contracts, procurement, strategic sourcing or commercial management.

Experience developing framework agreements, negotiating service contracts and working closely with operational and engineering stakeholders will be highly regarded.

Principal - Critical Goods & Services

This role will lead category management and strategic sourcing across critical operational goods and services.

The portfolio includes MRO and industrial consumables, PPE, electrical products,



hydraulics, oils and fuels, tools and fasteners, logistics, warehousing, labour hire and operational services .

We are looking for people experienced in managing broad supplier portfolios, large baskets of products, price reviews, strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation and spend optimisation.

Relevant backgrounds may include mining, heavy industry, manufacturing, industrial distribution, Defence, FMCG or other complex operational environments .

What we are looking for

Successful candidates are likely to bring substantial experience in procurement, category management, contracts or commercial management, together with the maturity expected at Principal level.

You will need to be comfortable:

- leading negotiations and sourcing activities;
- developing category or commercial strategies;
- influencing senior operational stakeholders;
- managing strategic suppliers and commercial risk;
- identifying cost, service and supply-chain improvement opportunities;
- working closely with site-based teams; and
- providing leadership and guidance to sourcing specialists.

These roles may also suit experienced Service Managers, Commercial Managers or operational leaders who have strong commercial and supplier-management capability and are looking to transition further into strategic procurement. Location is important. Candidates need to be based within practical travelling distance of GM3’s mine-site operations across the Illawarra, Southern Highlands, Wollondilly and Macarthur regions, and be comfortable maintaining regular site presence.
