A leading organisation based in Melbourne CBD is seeking an experienced IT Category Manager to join its high-performing Procurement & Supply Chain team. Renowned for its excellent culture and cooperative environment. This is a full time contract role with a salary around $700-800 daily inc super.

The Role

You’ll lead the end-to-end IT procurement category , driving value, supporting digital transformation, and delivering compliant, best-practice sourcing outcomes across a complex organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute IT category strategies aligned to organisational priorities
- Lead strategic sourcing across IT hardware, software, cloud, telecoms and technology services
- Manage complex tenders, contract negotiations and supplier performance
- Partner with IT, Finance and operational leaders to shape commercial decisions
- Deliver strong governance,



compliance, savings and value reporting

About You

- Proven experience in IT or technology category procurement
- Commercial, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in strategic sourcing, contract management and spend analysis
- Understanding of public sector procurement and probity requirements (Victoria)

Desirable

- CIPS / MCIPS or similar accreditation
- Experience in procurement with exposure to strategic sourcing
- Knowledge of SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity and technology lifecycle sourcing
