About the Role The Program of Experience in a Palliative Approach (PEPA) is a palliative care education initiative funded by the Australian Government Department of Health under the National Palliative Care Program.

We’re seeking a PEPA Program Coordinator to play a vital role in delivering an innovative palliative care program across WA.

Working alongside the PASCE Manager and National Team, you’ll coordinate participant placements and build strong partnerships with health services and professionals. Your work will help grow specialist palliative care skills and knowledge, as well as strengthen our palliative care capability and improve access to high-quality care across WA.

You’ll work alongside passionate people, build meaningful relationships and see the tangible impact of your work across metropolitan, regional, rural and remote communities.

Based in Subiaco, this is a part-time fixed term position (0.8 FTE – although we are flexible for the right candidate) until 30 June 2030.

What you’ll be doing:

- Coordinate the delivery, monitoring and reporting of PEPA program (Program of Experience in Palliative Approach) activities across WA
- Collaborate with the National Team and other palliative care programs to increase awareness and participation.
- Manage participant applications,



eligibility, placement matching and support.
- Facilitate experiential placements within specialist palliative care services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with host sites, mentors, health services and professional networks.
- Support participation from regional, rural, remote and priority groups.
- Support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation in placements.
- Coordinate administration, data, budgets, risks and reporting.

About you To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:

- Formal; qualification in project management, health related discipline or equivalent experience in similar project management roles.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to interact meaningfully and effectively with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end project management, including budget, data management, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to networking, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to establish and strengthen cooperative partnerships.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
- A positive approach to the workplace
