Due to an exciting and rapid growth period, we have an opportunity for an experienced all rounder Project Manager and Site Supervisor to join our team delivering multiple aged care minor works refurbishments/projects across Victoria. This role will require travel to project sites with overnight trips on occasion (depending on location). The works are generally minor ranging from $50,000 to $1m.

As part of our construction team, we have an opportunity for a Junior Project Manager/Site Supervisor to lead and manage our trades and service delivery partners as we deliver projects for our aged care provider. This role will be responsible for management of site safety, oversight and coordination of our trades and service delivery partners, budget and program management and scope compliance.
Who are you?
A self starter with detailed eye and ability to manage everything on a site. Someone who can take the lead, manage the subcontractors and suppliers.
Taking the lead as the junior project manager/site supervisor, you are expected to manage all safety requirements and scope delivery for our projects. This includes managing tool box talks, site inductions, safety assessments and ensuring subcontractors abide by the safe work method statement and risk assessments.
Coordinating site access, subcontractors, materials and providing regular feedback (written and oral reports) to ensure the works are completed on time and on budget and to a high quality.
Although a part your role will involve supervising trades, it is expected that a certain percentage of your work will be on the tools as a carpenter. As such previous experience in completing works yourself will be expected.
Ideally you will have/be
- Extensive experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry
- Hands on experience gained within a contractor environment in similar industries
- Enjoy getting your hands dirty and contributing to a project/fitout
- Understanding of budgets and cost control to ensure that the site works are optimised
- Passionate person who likes a challenge
- Has a keen eye for detail
- Execute the role to an extremely high standard
- Be accountable and holds other trades accountable when/if running sites
- Be able to follow procedure
- Honest
- Outstanding organisation and communication skills
- Has the ability to problem solve
- Well presented
- Polite, respectful and works well with others
- Punctual
This prospect will require successful candidates to undergo a medical and police check as well as hold working with Children's Clearances.
Minimum Requirements for Role
- Over 7 Year’s similar experience.
- Strong carpentry experience e.g. certificate III in Carpentry preferred
- White Card and any other relevant trade licenses
- Take direction from project managers
- A thorough knowledge of construction procedures, preparations and sequencing of a build.
- Understands National Construction Code
- Strict adherence to OH&S; safety policies and procedures
- Professional and polite communication when liaising with architects, client, sub-contractors, suppliers and company staff
- Able to meet deadlines
- Holds a current driver's license
- Have own vehicle preferred
- Comprehensive range of own tools
