We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager – Electrical Distribution to join a growing electrical infrastructure business delivering critical power distribution and network infrastructure projects across Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a robust background in electrical distribution, utility infrastructure or ASP Level 1 works to take ownership of projects from initial planning through to construction, commissioning and handover.

The role would be based in either NSW or VIC, with travel to project sites as required, providing a balance between office-based project management and hands-on involvement in project delivery.

You will play a key role in managing multiple projects, coordinating field teams and subcontractors, maintaining strong relationships with clients and network operators, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage electrical distribution and infrastructure projects from planning and procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover.
- Oversee overhead and underground electrical distribution works, network upgrades, relocations and associated infrastructure.
- Coordinate site supervisors, construction crews, subcontractors and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, variations, procurement, scheduling and commercial performance.
- Liaise with Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs),



clients and relevant authorities to coordinate approvals, outages and network connections.
- Monitor project progress, identify delivery risks and implement solutions to maintain programme and commercial targets.
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards, network requirements, technical specifications and quality procedures.
- Provide leadership and technical support to site teams while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer within electrical distribution.
- Strong understanding of ASP Level 1 works, overhead and underground distribution networks, and network construction activities.
- Experience delivering ASP projects involving electrical infrastructure upgrades, network connections, substations or distribution assets.
- Familiarity with DNSP requirements and network standards.
- Strong commercial capability across project budgets, forecasting, variations, contracts and subcontractor management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, construction teams and competing delivery priorities.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel to site.

Qualifications

- Relevant qualifications in Electrical or Civil Engineering, Project Management, or an electrical trade background with proven experience in electrical distribution and infrastructure delivery.
