Lutwyche

Company Description

North Brisbane Psychologists has a large and collaborative team with a 14-year history of providing high-quality psychology services to the community. We provide plenty of supervision and professional development. We focus on evidence-based practice while creating healing paths that are fully tailored to each person’s unique needs and circumstances.

We reject a manualised “one size fits all” approach to care, instead helping clients forge their own individual paths to happiness and success. The team is committed to deep understanding, ongoing learning, and practical strategies that help clients express themselves and move through challenging experiences.

Role Description The Psychologist will deliver evidence-informed psychological therapy to clients in an on-site setting located in Lutwyche or Aspley. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing individualised treatment, providing therapy sessions, and maintaining accurate clinical records in line with ethical and regulatory standards. The role involves collaborating with colleagues on complex cases, participating in case discussions or peer supervision, and contributing to a caring, client-centered practice culture.

The Psychologist will also monitor client progress, adjust interventions as needed,

and provide referrals or liaise with other health professionals when appropriate. This is a contract role.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Psychology, including theoretical knowledge and practical application in clinical settings.
- Experience in Counselling or Mental Health support, with the ability to work with diverse client presentations.
- Proficiency in Psychological Assessment (desirable) including administering and interpreting relevant tools.
- Understanding of broader health contexts, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
- Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA (or equivalent regulating body).
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport, maintain professional boundaries, and uphold client confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation and feedback to clients.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, supervision, and adherence to ethical and legal standards.
- Experience working in private practice or similar client-focused settings is advantageous.
