Our client is a manufacturing-focused business and an established leader within its industry, supplying a diverse range of products to customers across Australia. Based in Brisbane's south-western suburbs, the organisation has built a strong reputation through its commitment to quality products, exceptional customer service and long-standing supplier partnerships. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Purchasing Officer to join their collaborative and high-performing team.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring stock availability, managing supplier relationships and supporting the smooth operation of the purchasing function. This is a varied and fast-paced position that offers exposure across procurement, inventory management and supply chain operations.

Your responsibilities will include

- Managing purchase orders, supplier relationships and stock replenishment activities.
- Coordinating with local and international suppliers to ensure timely product delivery.
- Monitoring order status and providing delivery updates and ETAs.
- Maintaining inventory levels and supporting forecasting activities.
- Processing invoices, reconciling purchase orders and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory records within the ERP system.
- Sourcing new suppliers and supporting procurement initiatives.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet inventory and operational requirements.
- Providing project purchasing support and general administrative assistance.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you'll have previous experience in purchasing, procurement,



inventory management or supply chain functions within a manufacturing, FMCG, wholesale, distribution or similar environment.

You will also possess

- Experience managing purchase orders, inventory levels and supplier relationships.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Exposure to supplier negotiations, sourcing activities and cost analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced administration and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience working with ERP systems to manage purchasing and inventory data.
- A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Pronto experience will be highly regarded; however, candidates with experience across a variety of ERP systems and the ability to quickly adapt to new platforms are encouraged to apply. This is a fully onsite position and attendance in the office five days per week is required.
