Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician | $55–$70 Per Hour

Brisbane or Gold Coast | Full-time | Company vehicle provided KleenAir is seeking an experienced and properly qualified Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician to join our growing team.

The successful technicians can be based in either the Brisbane or Gold Coast region.

Remuneration

- $55–$70 per hour plus superannuation
- Grossed-up flat hourly rate
- Every hour worked is paid
- No expectation of unpaid overtime
- Final rate negotiable based on experience and capability

Your agreed rate will reflect your technical experience, diagnostic ability, productivity, communication skills and capacity to manage jobs independently.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing faults in split and ducted air-conditioning systems
- Completing repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance
- Attending breakdowns and investigating system-performance issues
- Installing and replacing residential and light-commercial systems
- Testing, commissioning and troubleshooting equipment
- Providing customers with clear explanations and recommendations
- Communicating with the office throughout the working day
- Maintaining your company vehicle, tools and equipment

Communication, Reporting and Documentation

You must be able to:

- Read and follow the complete job instructions before attending
- Keep the office updated regarding arrival times, delays and job progress
- Report access problems, additional work and unexpected issues




- Contact the office when unsure instead of making assumptions
- Communicate professionally with customers, property managers and staff
- Prepare clear, accurate and detailed digital service reports
- Document faults, test results, work completed and recommendations
- Record equipment model and serial numbers where required
- Take explicit and relevant before, during and after photographs
- Photograph faults, damage, test readings, equipment condition and completed work
- Upload all required reports, notes and photographs before closing the job
- Immediately report safety concerns, property damage or customer complaints

One-line comments, vague explanations, incomplete reports and missing photographs are not acceptable. A job is not complete until the service report, job notes and required photographs have been properly submitted.

What We’re Looking For

- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
- Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Relevant Queensland electrical licence
- Current Australian driver’s licence with a safe driving history
- Strong split-system and ducted air-conditioning experience
- Confident diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Neat,



professional and safety-conscious workmanship
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare accurate and useful service reports
- Confidence using a phone or tablet for job management, reports and photos
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for job outcomes
- Australian working rights

Reliability is non-negotiable. We need someone who turns up when expected, communicates properly, follows procedures and takes pride in completing every part of the job correctly.
