Mombasa Day Spa & Hair Lounge is an award-winning salon and spa located in the heart of Alice Springs. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Hairdresser to join our professional and growing team on a full-time basis.

Position Details

Position: Hairdresser

Employment Type: Full-Time

Hours: 38 hours per week

Location: Alice Springs, NT

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum plus superannuation

About the Role The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a high standard of hairdressing services while delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the overall success of the salon.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Consult with clients to assess their hair needs and recommend suitable services and products
- Perform precision hair cutting for women, men and children
- Provide skilled colouring services including foils, balayage, highlights, colour corrections and toning
- Carry out hair treatments and scalp treatments
- Perform hair styling, blow waves, upstyling and special occasion hairstyling
- Recommend and retail professional haircare products
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic workstation
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and encourage repeat bookings
- Assist in achieving salon retail and service targets
- Mentor and support junior staff and apprentices where required
- Complete daily salon operational duties




- Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements
- Work collaboratively within a team environment

Skills and Experience Required

- Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification
- Minimum two years of relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated experience in cutting, colouring, styling and chemical services
- Solid consultation and customer service skills
- High level of professionalism and personal presentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Availability to work Saturdays and late evenings as required
- Experience with premium salon brands and advanced colouring techniques will be highly regarded
