About the Role

Skin by Dermatologists is a specialist medical practice located in central Canberra. While our clinic offers a broad scope of skin care, this specific role is focused on medical and surgical dermatology. We are seeking a collaborative, inquisitive Registered Nurse to join our close-knit team.

In this role, you will work directly alongside Fellowed Specialist Dermatologists who are passionate about clinical teaching, structured mentorship, and delivering evidence-based patient care. Whether you bring existing dermatology experience or are looking to transition into specialist practice, you will find a warm, supportive environment where your clinical skills are valued and developed.

Key Responsibilities

- Clinical Procedures: Assist dermatologists with skin surgeries (biopsies, excisions, flap/graft repairs), procedural sterile field prep, and surgical instrumentation.
- Specialised Medical Therapies: Administer and monitor specialised clinical treatments, including narrow-band UVB phototherapy, photodynamic therapy (PDT), and topical field therapies.
- Patient Care & Wound Management: Deliver post-operative care, dressing changes, suture removal, and detailed pre- and post-procedure patient education.
- Clinic Operations & Quality: Manage clinical inventory, specimen tracking, and instrument sterilisation using our in office autoclave.
- Documentation & Team Support: Maintain detailed patient records, ensure treatment rooms are fully equipped,



and collaborate smoothly across the broader clinic team.

What We’re Looking For

- Current NMBA Registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 1 year post-graduate clinical experience (skin pathology and procedural experience is highly regarded).
- Commitment to Medical Care: A strong enthusiasm for procedural nursing, skin pathology, and complex medical skin conditions.
- Collaborative & Inquisitive Mindset: Excellent communications skills, a compassionate patient-first approach, and a desire to continuously learn alongside specialist doctors.
- Attention to Detail: High standards for patient documentation, sterility, and clinic organisation.
