Registered Nurses – Casual Custodial Healthcare

Redstone Recruitment is recruiting experienced Registered Nurses for a new casual nursing pool in central Perth.

Put your Emergency Department skills to work in a varied custodial healthcare setting, with approximately 12-hour day and night shifts available.

Pay and flexibility

- Up to $75 per hour
- 35% night-duty loading
- 50% Saturday and 75% Sunday penalties
- Casual shifts commencing ASAP, with ongoing opportunities
- Support throughout onboarding and your placement

This is a great option for Perth-based nurses seeking additional income, versatile casual work or experience in custodial healthcare.

The role

You’ll assess and care for patients with a range of acute, physical and mental health needs within a secure environment.

Your responsibilities will include

- Health assessments, clinical observations and triage
- Recognising deterioration and responding to medical emergencies
- Medication administration,



wound care and general nursing care
- Monitoring patients experiencing intoxication or withdrawal
- Clinical documentation and escalation of concerns

What you’ll need

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- At least four years’ nursing experience, including one year of recent ED experience
- Strong assessment, triage and emergency response skills
- Current BLS/CPR, sound clinical judgement and clear communication
- Full Australian working rights and availability for approximately 12-hour shifts

Previous custodial, corrections, mental health, drug and alcohol or remote-area nursing experience will be highly regarded. Successful applicants must complete the relevant pre-employment screening and compliance requirements.
