About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and clinically focused registered nurse to work part time at Mt Martha Village Clinic in Mount Martha and Mornington, Victoria to provide key support to GP, patients and community. The practice nurse enhances the quality and delivery of health care by providing nursing services in the context of general practice. This permanent part time role.

What you'll be doing

- improve health outcomes by contributing to and enhancing the management and prevention of ill health through identification of key practice patient populations, implementing health assessments, identifying patients for immunisations, maintaining and monitor recall systems, patient education and advice, chronic disease management, patient advocacy and assist with emergencies.

- managing the clinical environment by assisting the clinic to meet relevant standards and legislative requirements in clinical policy and procedures, infection prevention and control, cold chain management, medicine storage systems, records management, occupational health and safety - identifying risks to patients, staff and others, accreditation processes, cleaning and sterilization compliance, environmental cleaning.

- attend to a wide range of services our nurses offer - wound care for patients, immunisations,



BP and holter monitoring, emergency care, injections, ear syringes, assist with procedures and iron infusions

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in a primary health care setting.

- demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to prioritise and organise

- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

- Computer literacy with knowledge of medical package such as Best Practice.

- Compassion and a genuine interest in providing high-quality patient care
