About the Role

Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, we are seeking an experienced Resource Geologist to join our Kal East Geology team. You will be responsible for providing advice and resource modelling skills to support the site project geology team to grow Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves at Black Cat mining operations and develop appropriate Resource models for Greenfields exploration.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity located at our Kal East operation on an 8:6 roster ex Perth. You will occasionally work from Perth on a 5:2 roster to spend time with our Corporate Resource team to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Key responsibilities:

·Display a transparent commitment to all company and statutory health, safety, environment and social responsibility policies and procedures.

· Analyse and validate geological datasets collected during field programs to a high technical standard in preparation for use in Mineral Resource calculations.

·Complete geological modelling, grade estimation and subsequent economic evaluation to produce accurate, validated Mineral Resource estimates of projects handed over from the Exploration or Project Geology teams.





·Complete statutory report requirements and other technical documents as required for comprehensive and timely reporting of Mineral Resources.

·Assist in the design and implementation of project studies to improve geological and Resource knowledge of our deposits, i.e., density, metallurgical, or mineralisation studies.

·Utilise orebody knowledge to assist in the identification, ranking, program planning, and budgeting for new exploration targets.

·Collaborate with site geology teams to support grade control and resource definition drilling programs and assist in the production of grade control and production models as required.

·Support the audit and review of local mine and exploration models as part of the peer review process, and provide appropriate inputs to improve the quality of geological and Mineral Resource models.

About You

·3 + years experience as a Resource Geologist

·Tertiary qualification in the geosciences or a related discipline

·Resource geology experience including wireframing, variography and good understanding of geostatistical techniques.

·Knowledge of production geology, drilling, sampling mineral estimation and reconciliation.

·High degree of computer literacy and experience in the use of geological software for mining operations and estimation (Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog, Isatis, Supervisor etc).
