About the Role

Cellarbrations at Port Pirie is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our liquor retail store located in Risdon Park, South Australia.

This is a full-time, hands-on management position responsible for overseeing store operations, stock and inventory control, purchasing, customer service, staff supervision and the overall performance of the store.

Key Responsibilities

- Organise and control the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
- Determine appropriate product mix, stock levels and customer service standards.
- Manage purchasing, stock ordering, receiving, inventory control and replenishment.
- Monitor product pricing and implement store promotions and marketing activities.
- Monitor sales performance, operating expenses and store budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales and financial transactions.
- Provide high-quality customer service and appropriate product advice.
- Recruit, train, roster, supervise and support retail staff.
- Monitor staff performance and maintain high customer service and workplace standards.
- Liaise with suppliers and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Maintain store presentation and ensure efficient retail operations.




- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and applicable retail and liquor licensing requirements.

Skills and Experience required

- An AQF Diploma in Business, Hospitality Management, or a relevant field.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail operations and/or retail management.
- Strong staff management, leadership and customer service skills.
- Experience in purchasing, stock control and inventory management.
- Sound understanding of budgeting, sales performance and general retail operations.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy retail workplace.
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
- Ability to meet applicable licensing and regulatory requirements associated with working in liquor retail.
