ROOF PLUMBER – FULL TIME

Focus Demolition & Asbestos Removal Pty Ltd is an established commercial demolition and asbestos removal company seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Roof Plumber for a full-time position working across projects in the Perth metropolitan area and regional Western Australia.

This is a permanent, full-time position involving roof plumbing work associated with commercial demolition, asbestos roof replacement, refurbishment and construction projects.

Main Duties

The successful applicant will undertake a range of roof plumbing duties, including:

- Installing, repairing and maintaining metal roofing systems
- Installing metal roof sheeting and wall cladding
- Installing, repairing and replacing flashings, gutters, downpipes and other roof plumbing components
- Measuring, cutting and fitting metal roofing and cladding materials
- Preparing and planning roof replacement works
- Removing existing roof sheeting and preparing roof structures for installation of new roofing systems
- Working on projects involving the removal of asbestos cement roof and wall sheeting and subsequent installation of new metal roofing and wall cladding
- Installing and replacing roof battens, safety mesh and insulation as required
- Inspecting existing roof structures and identifying required repairs or modifications
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance to existing roofing systems
- Measuring and calculating material requirements
- Selecting and ordering appropriate roofing materials
- Reading plans, specifications and technical drawings




- Ensuring roof plumbing works are completed in accordance with project specifications and relevant safety requirements
- Carrying out general roof plumbing and make-good works associated with commercial demolition, refurbishment and asbestos removal projects

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:
- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated trade experience in Roof Plumbing
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant roof plumbing experience
- Current Construction White Card
- Current driver's licence
- Demonstrated experience installing metal roofing, wall cladding and flashings
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work safely at heights
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
- Willingness and ability to work throughout Perth metropolitan and regional Western Australia
- A reliable, hardworking and professional approach

Experience working on asbestos roof removal and replacement projects is highly regarded. Working at Heights, High Risk Work Licence, Forklift, EWP and Dogging qualifications/tickets are also highly regarded.

Employment Conditions

- Permanent full-time position
- 38 hours per week, plus reasonable overtime
- Guaranteed annual earnings
- Overtime paid at applicable rates, including time-and-a-half and double-time
- Work across Perth Metro and regional Western Australia
- Salary: $82,000 to $85,000 + superannuation
- Employment conditions in accordance with the applicable industrial instrument
