Sales Estimator – Security Fencing & Metal Fabrication

We are seeking an experienced Sales Estimator to join a growing business specialising in security fencing, gates, barriers, steel fabrication and installation.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded estimator who can interpret drawings, calculate project costs and prepare accurate, competitive and profitable quotations.

Key Responsibilities

· Review customer enquiries, drawings, plans and specifications.

· Prepare estimates, material take-offs and detailed quotations.

· Calculate material, labour, fabrication, transport and installation costs.

· Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing.

· Apply appropriate margins and identify project risks, exclusions and additional costs.

· Follow up quotations and help convert opportunities into orders.

· Assist with tenders and maintain accurate estimating records.

· Work closely with Sales, Project Management, Production and Installation teams to ensure smooth project handovers.

About You

· Previous estimating, quoting or sales estimating experience.

· Background in security fencing,



metal fabrication, construction, engineering or building products.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

· Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.

· Understanding of project costs, pricing and profit margins.

· Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

· Confident using Excel and estimating or job-management systems.

· Ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines.

Experience with security fencing, steel fabrication, gates, CAD drawings, tendering or a relevant trade qualification will be highly regarded.
