About The Client Our client provides a range of essential local government services to support the communities, residents and businesses within its region. Our client is responsible for delivering community services, maintaining local infrastructure and facilities, and supporting regional development to ensure the area remains a great place to live, work and visit. About The Position Our client is seeking a Saleyard Officer to support the day-to-day operations of their Emerald Saleyards. This role involves assisting with livestock handling and management, coordinating saleyard activities and working closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient operations. The position is casual part-time, with afternoon shifts and rotating weekend on-call coverage.

Key Responsibilitie s

- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Emerald Saleyards.
- Support livestock handling, movement and management in accordance with established procedures.
- Use saleyard software and technology to manage operational tasks and records
- Work collaboratively with team members, livestock operators and other stakeholders
- Help maintain secure and efficient saleyard operations.




- Participate in rotating weekend on-call coverage as required.

Experience Required

- Knowledge and experience in livestock operations and saleyard functions.
- Experience in livestock handling and management techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant software systems.
- Experience using technology to support saleyard operations.
- Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Minimum Queensland C-class provisional driver's licence.
