Senior Account Manager Food and FMCG Packaging

$125,000-$140,000, depending on experience + 12% super + performance incentive + Car allowance

Vacupack is a leading Australian supplier of thermoformed packaging to the food and FMCG industries across Australia and New Zealand. We partner with major food manufacturers, protein processors and retailers to improve packaging performance, product protection, production efficiency and sustainability.

As our business grows, we are looking for a commercially capable Senior Account Manager to strengthen major customer relationships, grow a national pipeline and lead customer projects from the first conversation through to implementation.

The opportunity:

This is a hands-on commercial role for someone who listens carefully, asks the right questions and enjoys solving practical customer problems. You will manage established accounts, develop new opportunities and spend time in customer facilities understanding their operational and packaging requirements.

You will have the support of Vacupack's technical, production, quality and supply chain teams. what matters is your commercial judgement, technical curiosity and ability to turn customer needs into clear, achievable actions.

What you will do

· Build trusted relationships across customer procurement, operations, quality, technical and R&D; teams.

· Understand each customer's business, manufacturing environment and commercial priorities.

· Grow existing accounts and develop a well-qualified national pipeline across food and FMCG.

· Manage projects from concept and proposal through trials, onboarding and commercial launch.

· Visit customer sites, analyse operational issues and lead structured root-cause resolution.





· Coordinate internal stakeholders, establish clear actions and follow commitments through to completion.

· Prepare proposals and account plans while maintaining accurate forecasts, CRM records and project updates.

About you

You are already trusted by customers because you understand their operations, communicate openly and take ownership of outcomes. You may now be looking for a business with the technical capability, operational support and responsiveness needed to deliver more for your customers.

· 4+ years of B2B major-account management, business development,

· A demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships with major FMCG or manufacturing customers.

· Strong commercial, negotiation, project-management and problem-solving capability.

· Confidence working in food-production and manufacturing environments.

· The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining detail, momentum and accountability.

· Willingness to travel within Australia and occasionally to New Zealand.

Experience in packaging, thermoforming, plastics or food manufacturing is highly regarded.
