A long-standing accounting firm in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. The firm has built a loyal client following over many years in the region, with a strong mix of manufacturing, agribusiness and professional services clients keeping the work wide-ranging and interesting.

THE ROLE: You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, working closely with a Partner who's known for being generous with their time and knowledge.

- Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns across multiple entities
- Tax planning and technical advice for clients




- Day to day management of client relationships
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members
- ATO liaison on behalf of clients
- Involvement in advisory conversations as they arise

THE INDIVIDUAL:

- CA or CPA qualified, or currently working towards it
- Solid experience as a Senior Accountant within public practice
- Strong technical tax knowledge with the confidence to apply it
- Comfortable reviewing and guiding junior staff
- Well organised with a professional, client-focused approach
