About CapitalCurve

CapitalCurve is an embedded operating partner for scaling businesses whose growth has outpaced the way they operate. That can mean founders still carrying a function, overloaded teams or reporting across disconnected systems.

We embed experienced operators and specialist engineers into founder-led, owner-led and PE-backed businesses to fix critical functions across finance, operations and growth. We stay through implementation, building better systems, reporting, automated workflows and bespoke AI around the business’s needs.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced outbound salesperson who can start useful conversations with founders and senior business leaders.

You’ll own prospecting, cold outreach and initial qualification, booking meetings for the founders, who handle discovery, proposals and closing.

We’ll provide prospect research, case studies and direct access to the founders.

You’ll also work alongside a dedicated GTM engineer to build prospecting pipelines and outreach workflows. You’ll bring what you’re learning from conversations, and work together to make research, outreach and follow-up more effective.

This is a hands-on role with cold calling as a core part of each day, supported by relevant email and LinkedIn outreach.

What you’ll do

- Prioritise supplied prospects, research accounts and identify the right people to approach.
- Build and maintain a consistent daily routine across cold calling, email, LinkedIn and follow-up.
- Speak with founders, managing directors, CFOs, COOs and commercial leaders about the pressures growth is creating in their businesses.

- Ask useful questions about recurring problems, their commercial impact, who owns them and how much of a priority they are.
- Explain CapitalCurve’s diagnostic and implementation work clearly, using relevant examples from our case studies.
- Book and confirm qualified discovery meetings, with a clear handover covering the prospect’s situation and reason for meeting.
- Keep CRM records, call outcomes and next steps accurate, coordinating outreach with the wider sales team.
- Work with the dedicated GTM engineer to improve prospecting pipelines and build workflows that support your day-to-day outbound.
- Use feedback from conversations and meetings to improve targeting, messaging and qualification.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

- Have recent, hands-on experience creating B2B opportunities through cold outreach to founders, owners or senior executives, and can show what you personally did and the results.
- Can open a conversation, handle objections, listen carefully and earn a relevant next step.
- Can recognise the commercial impact of an operating problem and earn a helpful next conversation with the person who owns or can sponsor it.
- Have helped build or improve an outbound approach in a growing business, including testing target accounts,

messaging and follow-up with the founders.
- Write clear, relevant messages that sound like a person and reflect the recipient’s role.
- Follow through consistently and keep your pipeline organised.
- Are curious about how businesses operate and willing to learn about finance, operations, data, automation and AI.
- Take feedback well and can explain what is working, what isn’t and what you’ll change.

You don’t need to be an engineer or have run a business. You do need to understand the business reason for the conversation you’re starting.

Useful, but not required

Experience in enterprise or midmarket sales development, ERP or finance software, consulting, technology implementation, managed services or outsourced finance would be useful, along with familiarity with CRM and prospecting tools.

What success looks like

Our goal is a consistent flow of qualified discovery meetings held each week, with uncapped earnings for exceeding agreed targets.

A qualified meeting has a relevant business priority, an attendee who owns or can sponsor it, and a clear reason to explore working with CapitalCurve.

We’ll also look at conversations, attendance and how opportunities progress. We’ll validate the meeting targets during ramp, with the initial quota, commission structure and ramp expectations agreed before you start.

Details

Location: Flexible, with availability during Australian business hours.

Employment: Full-time.

Competitive base and OTE.

We’re building a repeatable outbound motion, and you’ll have a direct role in shaping it alongside the founders.
