(Top End of) Senior Civil Engineer – Buildings | Melbourne CBD
Load-bearing careers. Seriously though.
You've been doing this long enough to know the difference between a consulting firm that gives you work and one that gives you ownership. This is the latter.
A well-regarded engineering consultancy in the Melbourne CBD is growing its civil team and needs a Senior Civil Engineer with a buildings background - someone who knows their way around stormwater, earthworks, pavements and civil infrastructure for built form, and who wants to run their own race, designing and managing projects in the buildings sector.
What makes this one worth applying for?
- Civil3D setting - no surprises, no workarounds
- Run your own projects end to end - you're not here to service another team
- Build your own client relationships - and yes, go win your own work if you want to
- Manage your own time - results matter more than desk hours
- Strong structures team alongside you - multidisciplinary projects, serious project portfolio
- Healthcare, education, urban regeneration - the kind of built environment work that leaves a mark
- CBD office,
five minutes from Flinders St station and the same from Southern Cross (if you walk fast)
- Take home salary is likely between $115k - $155k p/a package
The role Senior Civil Engineer, reporting to the Civil Lead. Ideally, we are looking for someone at the upper end of Senior.
You'll design and deliver your own projects (with your own team), co-ordinate with multidisciplinary colleagues, and build the client relationships that make a career.
Project load is broad. You could be running 10 to 20 concurrently across various scales and sectors.
6 to 15 years' experience in building civils. Melbourne-based design background. Degree qualified. Civil3D proficient.
The culture
