An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to join a well-established and expanding engineering consultancy based in Brisbane.

With a strong pipeline of secured and forecast projects across gold, copper, rare earths and iron ore , this organisation offers the opportunity to work on significant, technically challenging projects for leading clients within Australia's resources sector.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you'll be involved in the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and detailed design through to programming, testing, site commissioning and operational handover.

You'll have the opportunity to work with modern automation platforms, including:

- Rockwell Automation – ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk
- Schneider Electric – Modicon PLCs, EcoStruxure and Citect/AVEVA
- Ignition SCADA – Contemporary, scalable industrial automation and visualisation solutions

You'll work across a variety of substantial mining and mineral processing projects, collaborating with experienced multidisciplinary engineering teams.

What We're Looking For

- 7+ years' experience in Control Systems Engineering, ideally within mining, mineral processing or heavy industry.
- Strong experience in PLC, SCADA and HMI design, development and programming.




- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects from functional design and detailed engineering through to FAT, SAT and site commissioning.
- Experience with Rockwell, Schneider and/or Ignition technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative engineering environment.
- An Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation or related engineering qualification.
