Senior Family Lawyer

Duffy & Simon, a progressive leader in the legal industry with nearly 50 years’ experience, is growing across key areas, including litigation, commercial, property and family law.

Due to this growth, we are seeking a senior family lawyer to work across a range of interesting and complex family law matters including divorce, property division and parenting matters.

You will enjoy the autonomy and responsibility of managing and leading a diverse caseload, with the support and guidance from Partners, as well as administrative assistance required.

General Requirements

- Maintain strong relationships with clients through clear communication, empathy, and understanding
- Draft and review legal documents, including court documents and agreements
- Working closely with barristers, represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure productive case management and client satisfaction
- Experience in high conflict parenting matters and complex property matters;

About You





- 3-4yrs+ PAE relevant experience within family law matters (parenting and financial)
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and files in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- A passion for problem solving and ‘big-picture’ thinking
- Ability to relate to people at all levels and effectively work in a team and build long term client relationships
- Excellent organisation, written and oral communication skills
- LEAP experience preferable but not essential
- A strong interest in furthering their career in family law
