Haysis currently partnering with a well-regarded Western Australian StateGovernment organisation within the public transport sector to recruit anexperienced Senior FinanceOfficer for an initial four-month contract based inEast Perth.

Joining acollaborative finance team, you will play a key role in supportingbusiness-as-usual finance operations while assisting the team through a periodof internal secondments and promotions. This position offers the opportunity towork with large data sets, contribute to process improvement initiatives, andsupport the delivery of accurate financial information within a high-volumeenvironment.

Your New Role

Reporting to theTeam Leader within Ticketing Finance and working alongside a small financeteam, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing customer finance queries and investigations
- Performing reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of financial data
- Supporting day-to-day finance operations and reporting activities
- Analysing large volumes of transactional and financial data
- Assisting with process improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities for automation
- Streamlining existing finance processes to improve efficiency




- Providing ad hoc finance support to the wider team as required
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver outcomes
What You'll Need to Succeed To be considered,you will demonstrate:

- Previous experience in a finance, accounting, or reconciliation-focused role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large datasets
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within a team environment
Highly desirable:

- Previous State Government experience
- Experience using Power BI and/or Power Query
- Exposure to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives
