Senior Financial Accountant - Global Manufacturing organisation | Geelong | Up to $135k + Super/n Your new company: /n An established and growing product-based business is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its Geelong finance team. Operating within an international environment, the organisation offers stability, strong leadership and the opportunity to play a key role in financial reporting and business performance.This position is ideally suited to a technically strong accountant looking to take ownership of reporting and compliance responsibilities while continuing to develop their commercial capabilities. /n Your recent role: /n Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting, compliance and financial operations across the business.Key responsibilities include: /n /n

- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting

/n

- Balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and provisions

/n

- Month-end and year-end close activities

/n

- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting

/n

- Variance analysis and performance reporting

/n

- BAS preparation and statutory compliance requirements

/n

- Supporting external audits and tax compliance processes

/n

- Monitoring working capital and cash flow performance

/n

- Assisting with foreign currency transactions and international reporting requirements

/n

- Driving process improvement initiatives and strengthening financial controls

/n

- Providing support and guidance across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions

/n What you'll need to succeed: /n





/n - Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce

/n

- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion)

/n

- Experience in a Senior Financial Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar role

/n

- Strong financial reporting and month-end accounting experience

/n

- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, compliance and audit processes

/n

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

/n

- Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems

/n

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

/n

- A hands-on approach and the ability to work across a broad range of finance activities

Experience within manufacturing, distribution, FMCG, agribusiness or a product-based environment will be highly regarded./n
