About Our Client Our client is an established energy retailer operating within Australia's highly regulated and evolving energy market. As Senior FP&A; Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering financial planning, forecasting and commercial analysis across the business. Partnering closely with senior finance leaders and operational stakeholders, you will provide meaningful financial insights to support business performance, profitability and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long-term financial planning processes across the business.
- Preparing monthly management reports, including detailed analysis of financial performance against budget and forecast.
- Analysing revenue, gross margins, customer consumption and operating expenditure to identify key business performance drivers.
- Developing financial models to support pricing decisions, customer profitability analysis and commercial initiatives.
- Partnering with commercial, pricing, operations and customer teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Monitoring key performance indicators, including customer growth, churn, acquisition costs and revenue per customer.
- Undertaking scenario and sensitivity analysis relating to electricity demand, wholesale energy costs and pricing changes.
- Supporting business cases, commercial evaluations and strategic growth initiatives.
- Preparing financial presentations and recommendations for senior management.
- Driving continuous improvement in financial reporting,



forecasting processes and analytical capabilities.

The Successful Applicant A successful Senior FP&A; Analyst should have:

- CA/CPA qualifications or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in FP&A;, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
- Strong financial modelling, variance analysis and commercial analytical capabilities.
- Experience analysing revenue, profitability, margins and operational performance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience in Power BI and financial planning systems highly regarded.
- The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Experience within energy retail, telecommunications, utilities, financial services or another customer-focused industry highly regarded.
- Exposure to energy pricing, customer profitability or wholesale electricity markets advantageous.
