About the role

We're seeking an experienced, customer-focused general insurance broker to help establish and grow a general insurance offering within an established financial services business. This chance would suit someone who is ready to take the next step in their career, bring an existing portfolio if they have one, and develop new business through established client relationships and wider growth opportunities. This is a regional opportunity in South Australia, and a genuine willingness to live and work regionally is essential.

Key responsibilities

- Manage and grow a general insurance portfolio, delivering exceptional service and building long-term client relationships

- Develop new business opportunities, including identifying and meeting the general insurance needs of existing client base

- Take a proactive approach to client reviews, risk identification, renewals and coverage recommendations

- Advocate for clients through claims and difficult insurance conversations, ensuring they feel supported when it matters most

- Build strong relationships with insurers, underwriters and industry partners to achieve appropriate outcomes for clients

- Help shape general insurance offering, processes and service standards as the business grows

- Take ownership of results, client relationships and the long-term success of the business

About you

- Tier 1 Accredited professional

- At least five years of commercial insurance broking experience





- Willingness to live and work regionally

- Strong customer-first mindset, with demonstrated commitment to client advocacy and relationship building

- Ability to develop new business and identify opportunities within an existing client base

- Insurance Diploma (highly regarded but not essential)

- Established commercial insurance portfolio (advantageous)

- Experience working with agricultural, regional and other commercial clients

- Track record of profitable portfolio growth and strong client retention
