Senior Resource Geologist Needed for Leading Gold CompanyYour new company

This established gold producer operates a diverse portfolio of mining operations across Western Australia. With a strong focus on operational excellence, safety and continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Resource Geologist to join their technical team and support the delivery of high-quality mineral resource estimates.

Your recent role

Reporting to the Geology Manager, you will lead, train and support the Resource Geology team while overseeing the preparation and delivery of accurate mineral resource models and estimates.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading and mentoring a team of Resource Geologists
- Reviewing geological data, modelling standards and estimation processes
- Developing and maintaining geological and resource models
- Completing mineral resource estimates and reconciliations
- Monitoring drilling schedules and ensuring programs meet operational requirements
- Reviewing resource model construction, inputs and outputs
- Supporting the development and implementation of QAQC processes
- Liaising with mine geology, exploration, metallurgy, engineering, database and technical teams
- Ensuring mineral resource reporting aligns with relevant industry and regulatory requirements
- Driving improvements across geological systems, procedures and technical practices
- Maintaining strong safety, environmental and stakeholder standards

What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:

- A tertiary qualification in Geology, preferably with Honours
- A minimum of seven years’ experience across mining and/or exploration geology




- At least three years’ experience in resource modelling, ideally within narrow-vein gold deposits
- Production experience in an underground and/or open-pit mining environment
- Strong experience using geological modelling, geostatistics and estimation software
- Previous exposure to software such as Vulcan, Leapfrog or Supervisor
- Sound knowledge of geostatistics and classical estimation methods
- Experience with resource reconciliation processes
- Strong database knowledge, particularly Microsoft SQL and Access
- Excellent report-writing, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and delegation capabilities
- A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- A current Senior First Aid certificate, or the ability to obtain one
