Kestrel Eight is an ICT systems integrator. We are building a delivery team for a global technology client's workplace security engineering function and are seeking hands-on security engineers (not tenant administrators).

This is a 6-month contract starting ASAP. You will be Melbourne-based (hybrid) with potential light travel to Singapore.

Specialist Tracks Available

You will specialise in one of two tracks:

- Identity & Access Track: Conditional Access, passwordless and phishing-resistant authentication, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), joiner/mover/leaver automation, and identity threat monitoring.
- Messaging & Collaboration Track: Exchange Online Protection (EOP), Defender for Office 365, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC enforcement, anti-phishing and business email compromise controls, and Teams and SharePoint security.

What You Must Have

- 5+ years in cybersecurity, specialising in your chosen track.
- Identity Track: Entra ID, Conditional Access, and PIM engineering, with SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and FIDO2 knowledge.
- Messaging Track: Exchange Online, EOP, and Defender for Office 365 tuning, mail flow,



and header analysis.
- Automation: Practical experience using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, or APIs.
- Australian work rights and willingness to travel to Singapore occasionally.

Nice to Have

- Entra ID Governance
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Certifications: SC-300, SC-200, CISSP, or CISM

Note: This may not be the right role if your experience is primarily tenant administration or L2/L3 support without security control design.

Remuneration

- Daily Rate: $800 – $1,000 per day (depending on experience)
