Global Cyber Security product company seeks a talented Senior Java Developer with a heavy Data (Big Data) background. Must have a solution design mindset, Will work on challenging next generation products. 1 year renewable contract. $950 Daily. Mostly Work-From-Home option. Must reside in Sydney.

Candidate will perform complex research, design, and Java software development — typically across multiple systems.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Knowledge of Spark, Hadoop, SnowFlake, DataBricks, OR Trino.
- Top Java coding skills and good experience with Kafka.
- Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.
- Robust understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles.
- Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.




- Knowledge in using and developing applicable tool sets.
- Knowledge of test-driven development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
- Write and review portions of detailed Java code specifications for the development of complex system components.
- Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
- Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
- Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
