An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Counsel specialising in Litigation & Disputes to join an international financial services business on a 12-month fixed-term basis.

This is a dedicated disputes and litigation role within a high performing legal team. You will work alongside another Senior Legal Counsel at the same level who also specialises in litigation.

About the role

- Manage a range of litigation and disputes, from smaller day-to-day matters through to more significant litigation
- Work closely with external litigation firms and legal advisers
- Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to the business
- Partner with stakeholders across the organisation
- Manage matters autonomously and exercise sound commercial judgement

About you We are looking for a technically strong litigation/disputes lawyer who is commercial, pragmatic and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will have:





- Solid litigation and disputes experience
- Excellent technical legal skills and sound judgement
- A practical and commercial approach to legal advice
- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- In-house experience is preferred, however strong private practice candidates will also be considered. Financial services experience would be highly relevant.

Key details:

- 12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave
- Full-time but would consider part-time candidates (4 days per week)
- 5 days per week in the office with ad hoc wfh
- Busy, entrepreneurial and collaborative environment
