Tallai is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Civil to support the delivery of water and wastewater treatment infrastructure projects in Jindabyne, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineering professional with strong civil construction experience, proven project delivery capabilities, and a background in water infrastructure.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating site operations, managing project schedules, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate the delivery of civil works associated with water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Manage day-to-day site engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and relevant standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, site personnel, and project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, construction methodologies, and engineering documentation.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, delays, and construction challenges.
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, environmental standards, and quality assurance procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, prepare progress reports, and maintain accurate project records.
- Support procurement, variations, cost control, and project reporting.




- Work closely with the Project Manager and construction team to achieve project milestones.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer on civil infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience delivering water and/or wastewater treatment plant projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies, earthworks, concrete structures, pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
- Experience managing subcontractors, project schedules, budgets, and technical documentation.
- A solid understanding of Australian WHS, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a site-based environment.
- A current Australian driver’s licence and the ability to work in Jindabyne, NSW.
