Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer specialising in Dry Fire systems to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. This contract role is pivotal in overseeing the design, implementation, and management of fire protection projects within the building and construction industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety standards and delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of dry fire protection projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with design team, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct site assessments and risk analyses to identify potential fire hazards and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including design plans, specifications, and Inspection Test Reports (ITRs).
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project team members.




- Ensure all projects comply with relevant Australian standards, codes, and regulations.
- Facilitate regular project meetings to communicate progress, address issues, and ensure stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project engineering, specifically within the dry fire protection or building services sector.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Solid knowledge of Australian fire safety standards, codes, and regulations relevant to dry fire systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
- Proficiency with relevant Australian dry fire system design and compliance software.
