Hays is seeking an experienced Senior Risk Advisor to join a large project-focused organisation undergoing significant growth and transformation. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in establishing and embedding risk management practices across a diverse portfolio of complex projects. Working within a collaborative project controls and performance team, you will help drive a proactive risk culture while supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

This position is offered as an initial six-month temporary contract with solid potential for extension and is suited to a senior risk professional who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders and influencing project outcomes.

Your new role

Lead and facilitate risk workshops with project teams and stakeholders

Establish and strengthen risk management frameworks, processes and reporting

Develop and maintain risk registers, controls and treatment plans

Provide strategic risk advice across a portfolio of projects and programs

Identify emerging risks, trends and opportunities for improvement

Deliver risk reporting and insights to support management decision-making

Coach and support teams to improve risk management capability and maturity

Build strong relationships across technical and operational stakeholder groups

What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will demonstrate:

Significant experience in project, operational or enterprise risk management

Background within engineering, construction, infrastructure,



utilities or other project-driven environments

Proven experience establishing risk frameworks and governance processes

Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills

Exceptional communication, presentation and influencing capability

Ability to provide both strategic advice and hands-on risk support

Relevant qualifications in risk management, engineering, project management or a related field highly regarded
