OWN THE TECHNICAL SIDE OF HOW WE WIN, DELIVER AND SUPPORT CUSTOMERS

Greenroom Robotics is an Australian deep technology company building autonomous systems for the maritime domain. Headquartered in Fremantle with offices in Sydney and Houston, we work across defence, commercial and government sectors to deliver world class autonomous maritime capability.

Greenroom is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to own the technical side of how we win, deliver and support customers across defence, commercial maritime and offshore operations.

This is not a traditional sales engineering role where you are brought in at the end of a sales call to answer technical questions. You will be involved from first customer conversation through to deployment and beyond, working directly with customers, engineers and maritime operators to understand what customers are trying to achieve, how their vessels and systems work, and what it will actually take to integrate Greenroom technology successfully.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Lead technical discovery with defence and commercial maritime customers.
- Develop solution architectures and technical implementation plans across software, compute, networking, sensors and vessel systems.
- Support the Growth team across customer meetings, demonstrations, site visits, bids and proposals.
- Scope current projects with our engineering and maritime operations teams.
- Identify technical and operational risks before contracts are signed, and make sure they are reflected in pricing and scope.
- Hand won work cleanly into delivery with a clear technical baseline.
- Own initial technical support triage for deployed customers.
- Help design and build our customer success capability, including support processes, escalation pathways and feedback loops into product and engineering.




- Develop reusable solution architectures, templates and technical sales material.
- Manage and mentor our Graduate Solutions Engineer.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- You have the technical depth to earn the trust of experienced engineers and can explain complex systems clearly to customers.
- You are just as comfortable saying "we need to understand this better before we commit" as you are finding ways to make ambitious projects work.
- You will ideally bring:
- Experience in solutions engineering, systems engineering, integration engineering, applications engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- A proven ability to translate customer and operational requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of systems integration, interfaces, networking, sensors and distributed systems.
- Experience with complex systems incorporating both software and hardware.
- Experience developing technical scopes, implementation plans and acceptance criteria.
- Experience supporting customers after deployment, or building support or customer success processes.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior technical staff.
- A willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Maritime autonomy, robotics, defence, marine electronics, navigation or offshore experience would be highly regarded. This role requires an existing right to work full-time in Australia.
