Wayne Phillis Automotive | Southern Adelaide We’re looking for a Service Advisor to join our team.

We’re a family-owned South Australian automotive business, and while experience is important to us, the right attitude and approach to our customers is just as important.

We want our customers to feel that they have been genuinely looked after, not simply processed through a service department. That means good communication, taking ownership, following things through and doing what you say you will do.

The role

As a Service Advisor, you’ll be the important link between our customers and workshop team.

Your day will involve

- Greeting customers and building genuine relationships
- Understanding their vehicle needs and providing explicit advice
- Managing bookings and repair orders
- Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process
- Working closely with technicians and the workshop team
- Identifying maintenance and repair opportunities where appropriate
- Ensuring vehicles are ready and customers are kept informed
- Delivering an experience that makes customers want to come back

What we're looking for





Automotive Service Advisor experience is preferred, however, it isn't essential for the right candidate. More importantly, we're looking for someone who:

- Genuinely enjoys dealing with people
- Has a strong customer service focus
- Communicates confidently and professionally
- Is organised and can manage a busy workload
- Takes ownership and follows things through
- Works well as part of a team
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
- Takes pride in doing a good job

If you have automotive experience, that's a great advantage. If you don't, but you have the right attitude, strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to learn, we'd still like to hear from you.
