LOTL Lounge – Sydney or Remote Australia 10–15 hours per week. Contract role – hourly rate, ABN required

LOTL Lounge is evolving - shorter public episodes, extended interviews behind a paywall, and a renewed focus on growing our younger queer audience on Instagram. We’re looking for a creative, fast‑working Social Media Content Creator to turn our podcast moments into engaging marketing assets and help us expand our reach across the LGBTQIA+ community.

This is a contract role for an experienced content creator with an ABN who understands Instagram, queer culture, and short‑form storytelling.

About the Role

You will lead LOTL Lounge’s social media presence, creating high‑impact content from podcast clips we provide. You’ll design Reels, Stories, carousels, quote cards, and promotional assets, schedule weekly content, and support influencer outreach to help grow our audience and secure higher‑profile guests.

This role is ideal for someone who is culturally aligned with queer storytelling, understands what resonates with younger audiences, and can work independently with quick turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities

- Create engaging Instagram Reels using podcast clips supplied (CapCut, Adobe Express, Canva, Descript optional).
- Produce Stories, carousels, quote cards, and episode promo assets aligned with LOTL Lounge’s brand.
- Build and maintain a weekly content calendar and schedule posts via Meta Business Suite or Later.
- Monitor trends, audio, and competitor content to keep LOTL Lounge culturally relevant.
- Support influencer outreach, including identifying queer creators,

sending collaboration requests, coordinating cross‑posts, and preparing guest promo packs.
- Maintain a queer‑affirming tone of voice and ensure content is inclusive and culturally sensitive.
- Track basic analytics and provide monthly insights on growth and engagement.
- Work independently, manage deadlines, and deliver fast, high‑quality content.

Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience creating Instagram Reels and short‑form video content.
- Strong design skills using Canva or Adobe Express.
- Understanding of Instagram growth strategies for younger audiences (20–35).
- Experience scheduling content and managing social media calendars.
- Familiarity with LGBTQIA+ culture, creators, and community conversations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
- Comfortable with influencer outreach and creator coordination.
- Must hold an ABN and be able to invoice for hours worked.

Nice to Have

- Experience working with queer media, arts, culture, or community organisations.
- Understanding of podcast marketing or interview‑based content.
- Connections within LGBTQIA+ creator networks.
- Experience with TikTok (optional future expansion).

Hours & Engagement

- 10–15 hours per week, adaptable schedule.
- Remote or Sydney‑based.
- Contract role - hourly rate based on experience.
- Must have ABN and provide monthly invoices.

How to Apply

- Your portfolio or Instagram/TikTok examples
- A short note about your experience with queer audiences
