About the Role
We’re seeking a full time Social Media Account Manager to own an assigned portfolio of client accounts.
This isn’t a role for someone who simply wants to schedule posts from a completed content calendar. You’ll be the day-to-day face of AGSOCIAL for your clients, the person who builds the plan, creates and coordinates the content, keeps delivery moving and earns the client’s trust.
It’s a relationship role and a production role in equal measure.
You’ll translate strategy into scheduled, on-brand content; run client check-ins; identify opportunities; report on performance; and flag risks or scope issues before they become problems.
The role is ideally based in Perth or WA’s Wheatbelt , with a hybrid working rhythm shaped around client and team needs. Regular travel throughout regional Western Australia is an essential part of the position.

- Run regular client check-ins covering performance, upcoming activity and emerging issues.
- Build trusted relationships through clear communication, reliability and proactive advice.
- Identify scope creep and out-of-scope requests early and apply AGSOCIAL’s agreed response process.
- Flag at-risk accounts or client dissatisfaction before they become larger problems.
- Support the onboarding of new clients joining your portfolio.
Strategy and Content Direction
- Maintain and evolve each client’s content strategy within their agreed plan.
- Build and manage content calendars aligned with client objectives and publishing cadence.
- Bring proactive content, campaign and platform recommendations to monthly and quarterly reviews.
- Monitor social media trends and platform changes, identifying relevant opportunities for clients.
- Contribute creative input before content enters production to reduce unnecessary revisions.
- Feed insights from your client work back into AGSOCIAL’s wider planning and service delivery.
Content Creation and Publishing
- Write clear, engaging and on-brand captions and social copy.
- Create photo and video content personally when required—confident phone-based content skills are welcome.
- Brief and coordinate photographers, videographers and other creators for work beyond your capacity or skill set.
- Schedule and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Proofread and check factual, visual and brand accuracy before content goes live.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages and mentions within agreed service hours.
Reporting and Systems
- Prepare monthly client reports using native platform analytics.
- Translate performance data into plain-language insights, recommendations and next steps.
- Keep ClickUp, content trackers and Google Drive accurate and current across every assigned account.
- Log time consistently to support project and account profitability.
- Manage multiple accounts, deadlines and priorities without allowing details to fall through the cracks.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with AGSOCIAL’s Director, social media team and wider creative team.
- Brief freelance creators, photographers and videographers clearly and constructively.
- Communicate proactively about deadlines, workload, risks and project progress.
- Contribute ideas to team brainstorms, campaign planning and AGSOCIAL’s own content.
- Participate actively in team meetings and internal communication channels.
- Receive feedback constructively and adapt quickly.
Professional Conduct and Accountability
- Demonstrate initiative and take ownership of client work from planning through to delivery.
- Maintain professionalism during client meetings, regional travel, shoots and industry events.
- Raise problems early rather than absorbing them silently.
- Balance creative thinking with accuracy, deadlines, budgets and commercial priorities.
- Represent AGSOCIAL respectfully across agricultural and regional communities.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience managing client relationships in an agency or comparable client-facing environment.
- Hands-on experience creating, scheduling and managing content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills.
- Confident, professional verbal communication.
- The ability to manage several client accounts, calendars and deadlines concurrently.
- Basic photography and video capture skills—phone-based content is suitable, as this is not a specialist videographer role.
- Experience interpreting social media analytics and preparing client-friendly reports.
- A calm, proactive approach to managing challenges and raising issues early.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and respect for systems and processes.
- A genuine interest in rural, regional and agricultural Australia.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to undertake frequent regional travel and long-distance driving.
- Agency experience and previous work with agricultural, regional or rural clients will be highly regarded.
Travel and Working Arrangements This role includes regular travel across regional Western Australia for farm visits, client meetings, content shoots and industry events. Overnight travel will sometimes be required.
There may occasionally be a client message, event or shoot outside standard working hours. We want to establish clear and sustainable expectations with the successful applicant rather than leaving those boundaries undefined.
