Kalbarri Edge Resort is looking for an experienced Sous Chef / Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

Located in the heart of Kalbarri, our resort is only a short walk from the river, beach, shops and town centre, with an on-site restaurant and bar, resort pool and accommodation facilities. We’re looking for a chef who is confident in the kitchen, works well during busy services and takes pride in producing consistently good food.

THE POSITION

Depending on your experience, the position is available at either Sous Chef or Chef de Partie level.

Your duties will include

- Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard
- Running and maintaining your section during service
- Working across preparation and service
- Assisting with ordering, stock rotation and stock control
- Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards
- Helping minimise wastage and control food costs
- Supporting and working alongside the Head Chef and kitchen team
- Assisting junior kitchen staff when required
- Contributing ideas and helping maintain consistency across the menu
- Being able to work independently when required

Our restaurant operates breakfast and dinner services and offers an à la carte style of dining with Australian and international influences, including Western Australian seafood.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We don’t need someone with a perfect résumé. We do need someone who can actually cook and perform in a commercial kitchen.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Chef de Partie or solid qualified Chef
- Good knife and preparation skills
- Experience working through busy services




- Good organisation and time management
- Strong food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work without constant supervision
- A calm attitude under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork
- Reliability – if you’re rostered, we need to know you’ll be there
- Pride in the food you put across the pass

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude who wants to become part of the team.
