Respiratory Physician – VMO Tamworth Referral Hospital | Tamworth, NSW Major Regional Referral Hospital | Bronchoscopy & EBUS | Teaching & Training | 1:8 General Medicine On-Call An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Respiratory Physician to join the highly regarded medical team at Tamworth Referral Hospital , providing high-quality respiratory and general medical services to a large regional and referral population.

This VMO position offers the opportunity to combine specialist respiratory practice with general medicine, procedural work, teaching and multidisciplinary care within one of Australia's largest rural referral hospitals.

The Opportunity The successful applicant will provide comprehensive respiratory and general medical services to inpatients and contribute to the hospital's outpatient and procedural services.

Key Opportunities Include

- Privately refer outpatients to your own consulting rooms
- Participate in the General Medicine after-hours on-call roster – approximately 1:8
- Undertake a fortnightly procedural list
- Perform bronchoscopy and EBUS procedures
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
- Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
- Provide consultative, diagnostic and procedural respiratory services
- Participate in telehealth services where required
- Contribute to clinical handover, supervision and emergency and routine care
- Participate in education and research activities

About You We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Physician who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and enjoys working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.

You Will Have

- A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA
- Fellowship of the RACP in Respiratory Medicine, or eligibility through an appropriate overseas-trained specialist pathway
- Demonstrated experience in Respiratory and General Medicine
- Appropriate specialist registration or eligibility for registration in Australia
- A commitment to clinical education and teaching

- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
