About the Chance

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Specification Executive to join a market-leading business within the commercial building products sector.

In this relationship-driven role, you will work closely with architects, interior designers and specifiers to secure product specifications on key projects. You'll identify opportunities early in the design phase, influence project outcomes, and support the successful conversion of specifications into sales. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in specification sales, architecture and design engagement, or project-based business development.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain relationships with architects, designersand specifiers.
- Identify and engage with project stakeholders at the early design and planning stages.
- Build and manage a solid pipeline of specification opportunities.
- Drive product specifications and increase project conversion rates.
- Deliver CPD presentations, Lunch & Learns and other client engagement initiatives.
- Manage key customer relationships and support account growth initiatives.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, project tracking and market intelligence.
- Work closely with internal sales teams to maximise project outcomes.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
- Support forecasting, reporting and business planning activities.




- Contribute to achieving state sales and profitability targets.

Skills & Experience
- Experience in specification sales, architectural sales, business development or a related commercial role.
- Exposure to the architecture, design, construction or building products industry is highly regarded.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Consultative sales approach with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Confident presenting to groups and delivering product education sessions.
- Highly organised with strong CRM and pipeline management capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects.
