About the role
This is a part-time, contractor on-site Speech Pathologist role based in Panania, NSW.
The Speech
Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for children, adolescents, and adults.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments
- Develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver one-on-one and small-group interventions
- Monitor client progress
- Collaborate with psychologists, occupational therapists, families, schools, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated care
- Prepare clinical documentation and reports for Medicare and NDIS
- Contribute to quality improvement activities and professional development within the practice
About you
- Strong skills in Speech Therapy and the assessment and treatment of Speech and Communication Disorders
- Expertise in managing Language Disorders, including receptive and expressive language difficulties
- Competence in the assessment and treatment of Dysphagia and other swallowing-related concerns, where clinically relevant
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clients of all ages and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Recognized degree in Speech Pathology
- Current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
- Any required professional registration in NSW
- Robust organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
- Eligibility to work with Medicare and NDIS clients, including current Working With Children Check and National Police Check, or willingness to obtain them
