About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Fixer to join our team in Beerwah, Queensland. This is a full-time position. As a Steel Fixer, you will play a crucial role in preparing and positioning steel reinforcement for concrete structures, ensuring that all work meets stringent safety standards and project specifications. Your expertise will be essential to the successful delivery of our concrete solutions and spa installation projects.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and fixing fiberglass reinforcement for concrete spa production
- Assisting with plumbing work and fitting spa components
- Securing steel reinforcement using wire, clamps and other approved fastening methods
- Conducting visual inspections of steel placement to verify compliance with design requirements and quality standards
- Maintaining a clean and organised work site and storing materials safely and appropriately
- Following all health and safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure project timelines and quality objectives are met




- Reporting any issues or defects in materials or workmanship to supervisors promptly

What we're looking for

- Current or recent experience working as a Steel Fixer.
- Robust knowledge of steel reinforcement types, grades and correct fixing methods
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to steel fixing work
- Physical fitness.
- A commitment to health and safety best practices, including a current knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple trades
- Attention to detail and a quality-focused approach to all work undertaken
