About the role
Join our Central Sterile Services Department as a Sterilisation Technician Grade 2, playing an essential role in ensuring reusable medical equipment and instruments are safely decontaminated, inspected, packaged and sterilised. Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll help maintain high standards of infection control, traceability and quality while responding to the changing demands of a busy hospital environment.
About you
- Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology (TAFE)
- Recent experience in a hospital-based sterilising department
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive and complex tasks
- Sound computer skills and experience with CSSD tracking systems
- Ability to work effectively under general supervision and meet deadlines
- Strong understanding of infection control, relevant standards and manufacturer instructions
- Ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Willingness to participate in a seven-day rotating roster
- Commitment to teamwork, qualified practice, patient safety and continuous improvement
