Position Summary ACS is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Support Workers to provide quality care and support to older people and individuals living with disability in their homes and community settings.

Support Workers play a vital role in promoting clients' independence, dignity, choice, and social inclusion while ensuring services are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, policies, and individual care plans.

Key Responsibilities The duties of this role may include:

Personal Care Support

- Assistance with showering, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Assistance with toileting and continence support
- Mobility assistance and transfers (within training and competency requirements)

Domestic Assistance
- General household cleaning
- Laundry and linen changes

Community Access and Social Support

- Shopping and other essential errands
- Transport to appointments and community activities
- Supporting participation in social, recreational, and cultural activities
- Providing companionship and emotional support

Disability Support





- Supporting clients to achieve individual goals and build independence
- Assisting with daily living skills and capacity-building activities
- Following behaviour support plans and support strategies where applicable

Documentation and Compliance

- Completing case notes and required documentation accurately and on time
- Reporting incidents, hazards, concerns, or changes in client wellbeing
- Maintaining client confidentiality, privacy, and dignity
- Following ACS policies, procedures, and safe work practices

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must have

- National Police Check (current or willing to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (Employee)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain if required)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Reliable, insured motor vehicle
- Right to work in Australia
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Highly Desirable

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or equivalent)
- Previous experience in Aged Care, Home Care, CHSP, HCP, or NDIS services
- Manual Handling training and practical experience
- Multilingual skills and experience working with culturally diverse communities
