The Microsoft Architect Lead serves as the principal technical design authority for Microsoft ecosystem initiatives. This role translates executive business strategies into scalable, secure, and resilient architectures leveraging Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and modern DevOps tools. The position blends strategic vision, hands-on architectural leadership, governance, and team mentorship to ensure modern, enterprise-grade application delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Architectural Strategy &
- Blueprinting

Design end-to-end enterprise solution architectures aligned with the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework (reliability, security, cost optimization, operational excellence, and performance efficiency). Establish cloud adoption frameworks, landing zones, identity structures (Entra ID), and hybrid integration patterns.

Create architectural blueprints, target state architectures, and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to document trade-offs and decisions.

Execute Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate new Microsoft services, features, and third-party integrations.

- Technical Leadership &
- Governance





Provide technical leadership across multi-functional development, cloud operations, and security teams. Establish and enforce Microsoft design guidelines, coding standards, CI/CD patterns, and deployment pipelines.

Conduct formal Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) to approve system changes, integrations, and current deployments.

Manage and reduce technical debt across legacy Microsoft applications migrating to cloud-native paradigms.

- Security, Governance &
- Compliance

Partner with CISO/InfoSec teams to implement zero-trust security architecture using Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, and Entra ID. Ensure solutions comply with regional and industry regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Business Alignment &
- Stakeholder Management

Translate complex business goals into clear technical specifications for engineering teams. Advise executive leadership on Microsoft licensing optimization, Azure cost control (FinOps), and technology roadmaps.

Act as a bridge between C-suite stakeholders, business analysts, software engineers, and external vendors.
