Job Description

We're looking for a State Manager to lead our Queensland operation from our Sunshine Coast depot in Woombye. This is a genuine business-leadership role. You'll own the numbers, shape the team and set the direction for the state, with the backing of an established company behind you.

Key responsibilities

/n

Own the Queensland P&L;, including budgets, forecasts, margins, cash flow and asset utilisation

/n

Win and keep work by building relationships with councils, racing clubs, golf courses, schools and head contractors

/n

Lead project delivery across multiple sites, on time, on budget and to spec

/n

Lead, mentor and develop the team, setting transparent expectations and building a strong culture on the ground

/n

Drive operational efficiency and continually improve the performance of the Queensland business

/n

Optimise labour, plant, subcontractors and suppliers across projects to maximise productivity, utilisation and margins

/n

Keep safety, quality and compliance tight (WHS, ISO and QBCC)

/n

About you

/n

Proven leadership in civil, landscape, construction or a similar project-based business

/n

Strong commercial skills, with a track record of managing a P&L; and improving margins

/n

Experience estimating, pricing or reviewing tenders

/n

A hands-on, solutions-focused style,



comfortable on site and in the boardroom

/n

Confidence using business, project management and reporting systems to monitor performance and support decision-making

/n

A solid safety mindset and experience with WHS and QA systems

/n

A current driver's licence and Construction White Card, plus willingness to travel to sites

/n

Experience in golf course, sports field or racecourse construction

/n

Relevant tertiary qualifications (Construction Management, Business or similar)

/n
