Seed Disability Services is seeking nurturing and reliable Support Workers (Australian women aged 18-22) to provide one-on-one support to a young client. No prior experience is required. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

This role involves supporting a 10-year-old girl with daily routines, emotional regulation, community engagement, and structured activities, both at home and in the community.
/n
Support shifts will commence on a 4hrs Monday – Friday schedule only, with opportunities for hours to increase over time based on the client’s needs and suitability. (Proposed Hours of Work -subject to change/ increased hours)

Key Duties & Responsibilities Daily Living Support
/n
/n
- Assist with morning routines, school preparation and personal care tasks
/n
- Support the development of positive daily habits and structured routines
/n
- Encourage independent skill-building where appropriate
/n
/n
Emotional & Behavioural Support
/n
/n
- Provide calm, predictable and patient emotional support
/n
- Assist with emotional regulation during transitions or challenging moments
/n
- Follow strategies outlined in the Behaviour Support Plan
/n
/n
Community & Recreational Support
/n
/n
- Engage the client in community activities such as:
/n
- Gymnastics
/n
- Swimming
/n
- Horse riding
/n
- Park play
/n
- Arts & crafts
/n
- Sensory-based activities
/n
- Encourage safe exploration, creativity and participation in new skills
/n
/n
Communication & Professionalism
/n
/n
- Maintain professional boundaries at all times
/n
- Communicate effectively with the family, Seed Disability Services, and other stakeholders
/n
- Provide clear, timely updates as required
/n
- Work collaboratively with a second support worker if rostered together
/n
/n
Transport
/n
/n
- Transport the client to and from activities as required
/n
- Maintain accurate records for per-kilometre reimbursement
/n
/n
About the Client

The client is a bright, active 10-year-old girl who enjoys physical and creative activities including gymnastics, clay, slime, dance, games and sensory play. She responds best to:
