MBATT Enterprises Pty Ltd has been operating for more than 17 years and is now seeking an experienced HC/MC Driver to join our team in Loganholme. This is a full-time position with the ability to work Saturdays where required and we are based in Loganholme QLD 4207. As a HC/MC Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy combination and/or multi-combination vehicles safely and professionally. This role is pivotal to our road transport operations and requires a driver who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and customer service whilst navigating the logistics landscape of South East Queensland and beyond.
Key responsibilities
- Operate heavy combination (HC) and multi-combination (MC) vehicles in compliance with all relevant road transport legislation and company policies.
- Plan and execute effective routes whilst adhering to delivery schedules and time constraints.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working order and document any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Load, secure and unload cargo safely, ensuring compliance with weight distribution and securing standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and manage any operational issues.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and represent MBATT Enterprises Pty Ltd positively to customers and the public.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Comply with fatigue management regulations and maintain safe driving practices at all times.
What we're looking for
- Current and valid Heavy Combination (HC) and/or Multi-Combination (MC) Australian Driver's Licence.
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience in the road transport industry.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic offences.
- Proficiency in reading maps, using GPS navigation systems and route planning software.
- Knowledge of and compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation and fatigue management rules.
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety requirements, load securing procedures and traffic regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong commitment to on-time deliveries.
- Experience with freight management systems or digital logbook technology is highly desirable.
